Initial Client Brief
As part of their townhouse construction in Auburn, our client wanted to create a small bathroom to incorporate both a shower and bath, as a way to appeal to tenants with children. This proved to be a challenge as employing additional fixtures could reduce floor space in an already small area.
Design and Construction
Our goal was to make the best possible use of the small bathroom area by strategically considering every position and fixture, and being as space-savvy as possible for this Sydney bathroom renovation project. After a detailed discussion with the owner, we carefully crafted a design with a shower-over-bath concept to deliver the best of both worlds. But we were also able to create the illusion of space through clever corner utilisation, recessed shelving, clean lines, light colours and smart features like a clear-glass shower screen, a smaller-sized bathtub and a slim vanity – all of which expanded the bathroom’s function and created the sense of a larger floor area. We executed the project with a clear purpose, making sure each task carefully met the design brief – ultimately transforming it into a visually open, elegant and uncluttered space.
The Final Result
The owner was keen to maximise the functionality of such a small bathroom for future tenants, most of whom are growing families. DCON Group was able to provide a design that required creativity and imagination. After a few tweaks, the team started executing their plans and required minimal intervention from the owner. DCON Group respected the owner’s valuable time and made everything so simple. The entire project was finished within a few weeks with no major disruptions.
